A quick fill in on the time in Victoria:
The couple of days spent in Victoria were nice, the be able to enjoy the city some, and to complete some final tweaks to boat preparationand organization. Plus it allowed for some additional time to meet other racers, with many not quite as busy compared to Port Townsend. But some of the final mods included an LED stern light installation, a better tie down system in the v-berth, and sewing of velcro pockets by Carol. Thank you Carol!
Victoria is a fun city, easy to walk to attractions like the museum and the lively city center from the inner harbor docks.

Torrent arriving in Victoria. I can't imagine SUPing across the Juan de Fuca Strait, nevermind to AK. |
Totems near the museum. |
The race fleet, quite a diverse collection of boats. |
Thanks for the last minute sewing Carol! |

Awesome superfan race volunteer Raelynn (sp?). Who also greeted many teams in Ketchikan as well, and organized the fun bonfires. |
Stove and personal port storage bins. |
The organized disorder. Each team member got a net hammock as well. |
The V-berth storage, to preserve a sleeping spot underway. The off watch slept here and in the starboard quarterberth. |
