2017 Summer

The great snowpack for 2016/2017 meant a great ski season, beautiful snowy mountains for the mid-June launch, and good water levels all summer.

Evening of launch day.

Morning view of the substantial June snowpack.

Ready for the summer.

View at the south end of the lake.

First time up the mast, for a lost halyard. A good reminder that makeshift tied webbing harnesses are not that comfortable unless well-fitted.

Mid-summer hike.

The nice part before a steep deadfall section.

The waterfalls had great flow through the summer.

The payoff view for the bushwhacking.

A gorgeous canyon that was worth the effort.

Very first test of a rowing setup, after starting to seriously consider the possibility of the 2018 R2AK.
Quite makeshift, but it still worked to move the boat!

Summer heavy weather, testing steering range with bare poles and storm jib.

Entertaining surprise hailstorm while at the mooring.
